Fresh off a successful funding round, rental software startup RentSpree has teamed up with CRMLS and TheMLS, two Southern California-based multiple listing service providers.
The full integration went live on Aug. 24 in CRMLS’s Matrix, Paragon, Flexmls, and Rapattoni systems.
CVAR members were introduced to RentSpree as a sponsor of Real Estate REvive earlier this month, and co-founder Michael Lucarelli joined the REvive podcast to talk about the company and how RentSpree became a resource for REALTORS® (click link to hear podcast now).
RentSpree’s flagship feature instantly creates an ApplyLink™ for rental listings, which helps CRMLS users generate more leads, reduce transaction time, and save money. The new integration allows CRMLS users to opt in to adding ApplyLinks™ to their rental listings across CRMLS systems.
“I have seen the critically important role that rentals play for our users, which is why we first partnered with RentSpree back in 2017,” said CRMLS CEO Art Carter. “After seeing usage skyrocket to thousands of monthly transactions, integrating RentSpree within our MLS systems was a no-brainer. This integration provides exponentially more value to CRMLS users.”
Usage has always been a point of emphasis for the relationship, with CRMLS users already adding and transacting for nearly 20,000 rental listings through RentSpree.
Easy-to-Use, Timesaving Tool
In a statement, TheMLS CEO Annie Ives said the partnership will ultimately put “subscribers in touch with effective, easy-to-use tools that will save hours of time for each listing.”
“The rental technology provided by RentSpree completely automates the entire leasing process, which is a critically important element for most successful agents,” she added.
TheMLS serves Los Angeles and nearby Malibu. It owns and operates its own software system, which it calls VESTAPLUS.
Lucarelli co-founded RentSpree in 2016. Since then, the company has grown to have more than 600,000 users. Those users include brokerages, multiple listing services and REALTOR associations — including the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.).
RentSpree enables real estate agents to close a rental in minutes instead of days by providing online rental applications, screening reports, report sharing, income verification, electronic signatures, rent estimates, renters insurance, and much more. C.A.R. members can even receive a completed application and sign lease agreements on association forms.
