Mortgage Demand – After 3 weeks of declines, mortgage demand came crawling back, thanks to a drop in interest rates. Led by gains in refinances that rose 6% for the week, total loan application volume rose 4.2% from the previous week, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. The average rate for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages with conforming loan balances decreased to 3.11% from 3.15%. (CNBC)
DRE License Deadline June 30 – The deadline by which real estate license application and renewal fees need to be paid was extended to June 30, 2021. Continuing education requirements for licensees are also extended through that date. The Executive Order also allows California residents 70 years of age or older to renew their drivers’ licenses by mail. Read the full text of N-83-20 here.
