. Guillermo Flores, California Association of REALTORS® analyst, shares the home sales statistics in CVAR’s local areas of interest for the month of May.
“It is worth noting that despite a robust gain in sales from last May, the lowest point for the housing market during the pandemic, housing demand seems to be easing slightly in May,” Guillermo tells CVAR members.
“Housing supply, meanwhile, inched up on a month-to-month basis and could increase further in the upcoming months,” he adds. “Will that be enough to slow price growth in June or July? Our members seem to think so in our weekly REALTOR® survey shown below, but we will find out.”
As always, Guillermo still encourages member to read what 2021 C.A.R. President Dave Walsh and VP & Chief Economist Jordan Levine have to say about the market in the May Sales & Price press release.
A reminder: Visit the C.A.R. website for the latest results posted every week on Mondays, and do not hesitate to participate in the survey directly from that page.
