CVAR Sales Snapshot Feb. ’21 March 22, 2021 C.A.R. Analyst Guillermo Flores shares with CVAR members the details of home sales in areas of interest to our members for the month of February. “The housing market had a good start for the year in January, and followed up with a solid month in February,” Guillermo said. “While home sales didn’t increase by double-digit year-over-year, partly due to recent increase in rates, California had a 20% increase in price again in February.” Flores added that tight supply contributed to the rise in home prices, but more high-end homes being sold also pushed up the statewide median price. “With the spring home-buying season about to kick, hopefully more listings will come on the market in the coming weeks and ease some of the upward pressure on prices,” he said. “As always, I encourage you to read what our 2021 C.A.R President Dave Walsh and our VP & Chief Economist Jordan Levine had to say about the market in our February Sales & Price press release.” Guillermo also reminds us to check C.A.R.’s Coronavirus website for the latest industry related updates during the pandemic.
