Most Sought-After Upgrades
Apartment Therapy recently asked designers and contractors to highlight some of the most requested home upgrades from their clients this year. Among the popular upgrades they mentioned …
Super Bowl Ad Winner – Rocket Mortgage’s two 60-second Super Bowl ads placed first and second in USA TODAY’s Ad Meter, which ranks commercials by consumer rating. Both spots starred comedian Tracy Morgan, who used humorous situations to illustrate the distinction between “pretty sure” and “certain.” Clever marketing!

CoreLogic Acquisition – Stone Point Capital and Insight Partners are jointly set to acquire real estate data and technology firm CoreLogic, ending a months-long saga to find new ownership. for the company after two shareholders attempted a takeover in the summer of 2020. CoStar Group, which has made a significant move into the residential real estate space, had also reportedly been attempting to acquire CoreLogic and was one of the final bidders, along with Warbug Pincus. Stimulus Scam – Beware, the Better Business Bureau Scam Tracker has received numerous reports from people who were contacted about the new COVID-19 stimulus checks. Watch out for “verification” calls, or emails or texts asking you to click a link to “request benefit payments.” The link connects to an application prompting the entering of personal information–don’t do it!
