Sentiment Sag – Following three months of increases, Fannie Mae’s Home Purchase Sentiment Index, designed to track consumers’ desire to sell or buy a home, fell 1.7 points in November to 80. Year-over-year, the HPSI is down 11.5 points. The gap between homeowner and renter subgroups hit a survey-high in August, and remains “elevated and well-above the survey average” in November. (Fannie Mae)

Cloud CMA New Home – Lone Wolf Technologies has acquired W+R Studios, a top provider of digital technology for real estate agents based in Huntington Beach. The acquisition will add W+R Studios’ suite of solutions, including Cloud CMA, its competitive market analysis tool, to Lone Wolf’s Agent, Broker, and Association Cloud suites. (PRwire)

Buyer Preferences – Since the coronavirus outbreak, REALTORS® are seeing buyer preferences change. Nearly 40% of REALTORS® said their buyers are opting for a bigger home; 35%  said buyers are opting for more rooms; 37% said buyers are less concerned about the commute time; 37% are opting to live in a suburb over a city; 26% said buyers are opting for rural areas. Also, more people are buying vacation or second homes, with its share of sales the highest in four years. (C.A.R.)

Agent Sexual Harassment  – A client can sue an agent for sexual harassment much more easily since recent changes that have lowered the bar. The deadline is Jan. 1, 2021 for the mandatory Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for all employees and supervisors.  (Click for C.A.R. Training)
