Bidding Wars – A study showed that 42% of homeowners who made a purchase during the January to May 2020 time period ended up in a bidding war, demonstrating the strong demand for homes amid low inventory. (Clever)
May Sales – All major regions recorded a decrease in housing supply of more than 25%, with both the Southern California and the Central Valley regions falling by more than 33%. All counties in Southern California, except Ventura, declined 36% or more from last year, with San Diego dropping the most at 42.7%. (C.A.R.)
Median Price – May’s median home price in California was $588,070, down 3% from April and down 3.7% from May 2019. (C.A.R.)
