Price Gouging – Atty. Gen. Xavier Becerra has issued Consumer Alerts following the Governor’s declarations of emergency for four major California wildfires, which include San Bernardino, Riverside, and Orange counties. (ca.gov)

Wildfire & Mortgages – Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac sent out reminders to servicers, saying homeowners impacted by the fires are eligible to stop making mortgage payments for up to 12 months.

Foreclosure Increase – 21 states posted a year-over-year increase in foreclosure starts in July, including Florida (up 35%); California (up 3%), and Texas (up 7%). (Attom Data)
