Election BBQ – Meet the Candidates

Polls are open today, June 5, at 9 a.m., through June 14 at 4 p.m. for members of Citrus Valley Association of REALTORS® to vote on three open seats for the Board of Directors and the position of president-elect (click video for candidates). REALTOR® members are invited to the Meet the Candidates Forum on Friday, June 9, 2017, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at CVAR headquarters, 504 E. Route 66, Glendora. The facilitator will be Director of Member of Services Barbara Goldberg.

2016 Election 2017 BBQThe forum gives candidates an opportunity to address a wide range of issues that affect our Association, while giving CVAR members a platform to vet the candidates.

The forum will be followed by the annual BBQ luncheon at noon in the courtyard. There is no charge to voting REALTOR® members. VOTE HERE


Member Appreciation Month

Throughout the month of June, we have fabulous giveaways and activities for our CVAR members at all three CVAR offices. LA, OC Fees Second in Nation  

U.S. homeowners spend $15,190 on average in extra or hidden costs associated with selling their home, according to a new analysis from Zillow® and Thumbtack. In Los Angeles and Orange counties, however, the average is $40,808. Riverside County is about half that.

Zillow Group is testing a new service called “Zillow Instant Offers,” allowing sellers to receive bids on their properties within 24 hours, with potential to close in as little as a week. Zillow acts as a middleman, creating a marketplace where investors can compete for sellers, providing homeowners up to five offers within 24 hours, along with a CMA from a local real estate agent. “In addition to investors being required to use an agent, should a homeowner select an investor’s offer, Zillow will also offer to connect them with a local agent to represent them throughout the transaction,” according to a Zillow press release announcing the test. FHA Pros! – New Member Benefit


We are launching the FHA Pros app in honor of Member Appreciation Month! Be among the first agents to have the free new member benefit available only to CVAR members starting June 1.
