Eighty-six percent of Americans are unaware that the claims history for their new home can impact the amount of insurance they pay. Many insurers use Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange (CLUE) to report and check the claims by previous owners of the property, yet only 12 percent of buyers say they ask for a CLUE report before buying their current home.

Powell to REALTORS®: Demand Change

Colin Powell, speaking to thousands of attendees at the General Session of the 2016 REALTORS® Conference & Expo last week. Regarding the election, he said: “Congress is the real problem, more so than the presidency,” he said. “I have never seen a Congress this dysfunctional.”
Pushback Against PACE Loans
Cases are surfacing, especially in California, where PACE loans are doubling the tax bill on properties for some home owners, and many real estate professionals say a lack of public education is contributing to the growing problem.
The “parcel as a whole” issue has been one of the most persistent challenges to private property rights over the past few decades, and clarity on it is badly needed.
