Tina and Jessie Rodriguez of HGTV’s “Vintage Flip” will be featured speakers at Real Estate REvive Conference and Expo on Thursday, March 24, 2016.
The Claremont couple, hosts of the reality real estate show that returns to HGTV this spring, got their start in the real estate business in the area, and evolved into fixing up old homes during the recession, which lead to a guest spot on “Flip or Flop.”
“The production company liked us and said, ‘Do you want to do a spin-off?’ And here we are on our own show,” Jessie Rodriguez told the local Claremont Courier in an October article.
They filmed a pilot episode at a home in Santa Ana, which aired in three different time slots so that producers could see how well the show did.
“About two weeks later, they called and said they were picking us up for an eight-episode season.” Rodriguez said.
Since then, the couple has filmed at houses in Upland, Long Beach, Echo Park, Monrovia and in their own town of Claremont.
“The city is so important to us,” Rodriguez told the Courier. “I think it’s cool that if we can get two or three or four seasons out of this show, every episode will start out in Claremont, California.”
Adds Tina: “We had our first date in the Village in 2000…. We walked through all the pretty houses, and now we’re able to give back to the community where we fell in love and it’s really cool.”
Tickets are only $19 to hear the Rodriguezes and an all-star lineup of speakers, which also includes Josh Altman from Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing,” the hilarious Leigh Brown, real estate radio personality Jacob Swodeck, CRMLS CEO Art Carter, and C.A.R.’s Leigh Appleton-Young, and for the entire day at Real Estate REvive Conference & Expo. Speakers, panels and exhibitors from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., at Victoria Gardens, 12505 N. Mainstreet, Rancho Cucamonga.
