CRMLS Signs Direct Data Share Agreement with CDAR
CRMLS is pleased to announce that we have signed a direct data share agreement with California Desert Association of REALTORS® (CDAR).
CDAR and CRMLS will share listing information directly with each other and will import each other’s listing data into each respective MLS system. The data will begin flowing in approximately 2 months and reciprocal access into each system with be offered until the data share is completed. CDAR will join CLAW, CRISNet, iTech MLS and Palm Springs Association of REALTORS® in the CRMLS direct data share initiative.
Look for future communications regarding how to access information on reciprocal links to the California Desert Association of REALTORS® MLS system.
CVAR Tech Blog: You Should be Able to Brand Your Virtual Tours on the MLS
Currently real estate agents are paying a fee to be a member of the Multiple Listings Service (MLS). Even though they are paying customers, they are not allowed to have any personal or company branding on their virtual tours. I completely disagree with this rule, and here is why:

More home buyers turning to social media in home-buying process, REALTOR® survey finds
More than three-fourths of home buyers used social media in their home search, up from 52 percent who used it in 2011. Buyers said they primarily used social media to obtain buying tips and suggestions from friends (44 percent), neighborhood information (44 percent), and to view their agents’ Facebook pages (42 percent).

Present It Like TED
When you watch a TED Talks video, you might learn how to tie your shoes more efficiently. You could also learn whether or not humans can prevent the end of the world. In other words, the group’s motto of “ideas worth spreading,” is a pretty broad one. But regardless of your viewing choice, you tend to come out of it at least a little bit smarter, which is something you can’t often claim after emerging from the typical YouTube binge.
C.A.R. announces 2014 Champions of Home
LOS ANGELES (Sept. 4) – The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) will honor two REALTORS® as “Champions of Home,” a California REALTOR® who has changed their clients’ lives for the better, raised the standards for others, and led by example. In its second year, the award honors REALTORS® who have gone to great lengths on behalf of their clients and who practice business with the highest ethics and morals.
